Lorn says: Some how this was Pretty Lights first LA performance, and what a shame. I wish they would have made it here earlier because they absolutely blew my mind.
First off, the light display was astonishing and sold me on the show immediately. It was the greatest visual display I have ever seen at a club show.
On top of that, the group was cordial and interactive with the audience - simply there to have a good time. The music was ‘off the chain’ (so to speak.)
From what I understand, this style falls under the category of Glitch Hop. I am still not 100% sure exactly what that is, but I do know that I like it.
I enjoyed how the group incorporated a DJ and a live drummer. It added a lot of energy to their performance.

One cool thing about this show, for both the band and the crowd, is that the Key Club opened the balcony for this show. They had originally told the band that they wouldn’t due to the lack of interest and attendance.
Well, lo and behold, there was a line down the street that made it a total pain in the ass to even get into the show, and forced the Key Club to open te balcony to accommodate all those who wanted to attend.
I highly recommend Pretty Lights and can’t wait for them to come back to Los Angeles.
