This show was announced the day of and the buzz surrounding this new super group was enough to keep many people from even attempting a chance at getting one of the $50 tickets on sale at The Roxy box office. Lorn showed up 3 hours before the show and made it in without any trouble. He called me to let me know the situation, and I showed up about 45 min before the Them Crooked Vultures hit the stage.

I sure am glad Lorn convinced me to come, because although it took bit of time to find some tickets, our good friend Preston and I were able to walk in free of charge just as the music began. Bottom line… this concert ROCKED!

Dave Grohl jammed heavily, Josh Homme rocked, but it was former Led Zeppelin bassist John Paul Jones who kept me perpetually engaged. He seems so comfortable on stage and it seemed like he had a new instrument for every song. Basses I have never seen, keyboards, keytars… he was very interesting to watch.
