Interview w/ Chromeo

I can’t put into words how jazzed I was about meeting Chromeo, and usually when I’m jazzed about things…I mess them up. This time, I managed to select the most random and worst smelling room at the Cannery for our interview, and didn’t press for details on some of my questions – palm to forehead.

Either way, P-Thugg and Dave 1 were super nice about the “accommodations,” and next time I’ll get to the bottom on how they gauge if a song moves from demo to album-worthy, their craziest festival memory (besides performing with Daryl Hall), most visited websites, and I’ll get them to teach me some French.

For now, enjoy our chat about Bonnaroo, favorite concerts and Youtube videos, what inspired those sexy legs, and more.  HUGE thanks to Dru for his last minute camera help.

Hey, I just read an article about the making of Chromeo's third CD "Business Casual". They recorded it in a studio called MetroSonic in Brooklyn, NY. It was really interesting and filled a bunch of insight on the gear P-Thugg and Dave 1 used. If you would like to read the article for yourself, check it out here.

  3. Great artists are always party hard in their concerts because they work hard so much and after success they party hard. Without the parties they feel nothing and they become very bored.
