Lorn and Andy catch Vampire Weekend at Neumos and get fan reviews after the show.
What an adventure this night was. The show was sold out and for some reason it had to snow! I was freezing my ASS OFF and didn’t have a ticket. There were a lot of people out on the street looking for tickets and laughing at us. Well, sure enough, about 5 min in or so a guy jumped out of his car and sold me two tickets at face value, a price I was more then glad to pay just to get out of the snow. It was still a while until the show started, so we decided to head in to Moe Bar and take advantage of their $2 happy hour.
This was my first time at Neumos and I must say I was impressed. It is on my list of venues i truly enjoy going to. It holds a maximum capacity of around 500 or so, but is connected to Moe Bar next door and makes it easy to meet people at the show.
Vampire weekend didn’t blow me away. I had a good time at the show. but looking back on it, nothing all that special. All the songs seemed to sound the same although they did have fantastic audio mixing for the performance and delivered a crisp sound. -lorn
Thank for working the camera Andy.
