Chrystal wraps up an insane concert weekend at 3rd & Lindsley for Lightning 100′s live stream of Cracker’s performance.
I’ll admit it, the only Cracker song I know is “Low,” but I really like that song – and when Cracker played it on Sunday night at 3rd & Lindsley, it took me back; Back to the days of hanging out at the local park watching the boys practice kick flips as they smoked Marlboro reds. That’s what I wanted. A little bit of mental time travel, and that’s what I got.
I listened to the new album, Sunrise in the Land of Milk and Honey, and Cracker still sounds the same – well, compared to “Low.” They have that Tom Petty feel with thought-provoking lyrics. It’s a good album. Throw it on at a cook-out or on the way home from work. Chill out tunes.
Backyard Tire Fire was a complimenting opener. Tire Fire had more of an old skool country rock sound, but something that the Cracker crowd could appreciate.
Lightning 100 was broadcasting this show live on their stream, so it was neat to think other people were listening to what we were experiencing.
Did anyone else know that Cracker had a legit fanbase that travels with them? They were like a family, and I always love seeing how a band brings people together, and makes memories.
