Lorn goes on one of his famous solo missions and checks out REM, Modest mouse, and The National concert at the Hollywood Bowl and finds fans that want to talk about the show.
First things first, I went to this concert to check out Modest Mouse and The National. Second, it’s hard to say The National!!! I had a lot of fun at this concert. This guy named Gabe hooked me up with a ticket for this show and got me in right as The National took the stage. They definitely rocked the house that was there and I shall try to catch them again. After their set I walked around the bowl looking for cool people to talk to and kick it with.
On my adventure I meet Bridget and Jaz, two cool girls from Chatsworth. I watched the Modest Mouse set with them and I was much obliged for the company. I enjoyed the Modest mouse set although as usual you cant really hear a single word Issac is saying so you really need to know the band to enjoy the show.
I decided to stick around and give R.E.M another shot after Sasquatch, after all, it was one of the first nights on the tour. They still got nowhere close to blowing me away! The first time I got to see R.E.M was at the Key Arena in Seattle WA in 2002 and they knocked my socks off. I stuck around for a good 12 songs or so and then came to the conclusion I had better things to do with my time. -lorn
