Lorn and Josh attend a very hush hush Who concert and get fan reviews after the show.
What a great surprise this show was. I had only gotten 3 hours of sleep the night before and had just finished working a full day at work. I had no intentions of going out whatsoever. Then I talked to Josh and he told me about this show and it could be a long shot. I decided to stay home. I was too tired to go out on a long shot. About 15 min later I got a call from Josh telling me he had all ready gotten a free ticket and I should come out to the show. I jumped in my car and raced down to the Orpheum.
When I arrived there were no tickets to be found, but a kind security guard told me that at nine they would be passing out tickets at the door. I waited around for a bit then the security guard got my attention and pointed me in the direction of a free ticket. A lady was standing out front with a huge stack of tickets just passing them on to anyone who wanted to see the show.
This was my first time at the Orpheum and what a great show to have it be. The Who ROCKED!! They were very sociable and talked to the audience more then I have seen any band talk to the audience in a long time. They rocked out a 1 hour and 45 min show and kept almost everyone in the theater on their feet for the entire show.
I had a good time at the Rock Honors, but this show blew that to smithereens. After the show I started getting interviews when my batteries died. Luckily, I had a few backups in my truck. I raced to my car changed the batteries and then got some great reviews. I can only dream of seeing The Who in a venue like this again in my life time. -lorn
P.S. I suck at knowing what day it is.
