STS9 @ The Wiltern Video Concert review
STS9 is a unique and quite talented group of musicians. They are so good at what they do that it’s no wonder why they have such a dedicated following. Their instrumental electric groove is impossible to stand still to and I would recommend that anyone looking to boogie should do themselves a favor and check out Sound Tribe Sector 9 when the opportunity arises. If you like to dance, you’re into jam bands, or you like electronic music STS9 has what you are looking for. http://www.myspace.com/sts9
One other thing I’d like to comment on is the size of the new Live Nation Tickets. WTF?
Harold hooked us up with 3 of the 5 tickets we needed for the night. Thank Harold!!
STS9 Fun Facts:
Sound Tribe Sector 9 (abbreviated as STS9) is an instrumental band known for their live performances. STS9′s genre-blending sound is based heavily on instrumental rock and electronic music crossed with elements of funk, jazz, drum and bass, psychedelia, and hip hop. Self-described as “post-rock dance music”. STS9 mixes standard live rock instrumentation with electronics, favoring group rhythm over individual solos.
STS9 has released five studio albums, one remixed album, and one live DVD (Live As Time Changes) on their own label 1320 Records – wiki
