This was an excellent show that was an unexpected surprise for YouTellConcerts.com. We had requested to cover Low vs. Diamond, which we did, but the same publicity company represents the opening act The Shys as well. We were happy they asked us to show up early to catch the 8:30 set time for The Shys, because personally they were my favorite act of the night.
Low vs. Diamond packed the house. It was very noticeable that they were the most popular act of the evening. Nickel Eye, featuring Nikolai Fraiture of The Strokes, were the top billed band, but nearly half the patrons vacated after Low. vs. Diamond.
Overall the performance by each band were all very good. The most unique sound came from The Shys and the energy they bring to the performance is to be commended with such a weak crowd at 8:30. -bryan
