Def some heavy-hitters and a few crazy dance parties going on this week. Make sure to comment on this post and let us know what we are missing.
Monday, March 28th:
I am 50/50 on attending this show. On one hand, I can’t stand Lady Gaga’s music, and on the other, I am sure it will be one hell of a show with an incredible production behind it. The show is sold-out, but I am sure there will be some reasonably priced tix floating around somewhere.
Tuesday, March 29th:
We caught Royksopp last year and were absolutely blown away. Not only did the band put on a wonderful performance, but the crowd went crazy.
Well, Dim Mak Tuesdays at Cinespace is finished, but the good folks at Dim Mak are bringing us a new Tuesday night party at their new space - the Dim Mak Studios. I am sure these parties will not disappoint. Dim Mak Studios is located a mere block from the Cinespace location.
Wednesday, March 30th:
We saw Ice Cube at the House Of Blues a few years back and he def delivered. Even though a lot of people think Ice Cube has gone soft recently, I have to disagree. He still puts on a great show and truly knows how to rock the mic. The one thing that kills me about this show is the ticket price. $60 ouch! Nonetheless, this will be a good time, so if you got the money get on it.
Thursday, March 31st:
Nothing on our radar.
Friday, April 1st:
I have yet to see these guys but have heard nothing but good things. They have a great chill out sound and vibe going on. This time last year, these guys were playing the Roxy, so make sure to catch them at the Wiltern before they start playing larger venues.
Well last time Wolfgang played Control, he sold it out. He did it again. This show is already sold-out and over a week in advance. If you got tickets, have a blast. If you didn’t, get there early and see what happens.
Saturday, April 2nd:
Every time Insomniac does a show at the Palladium it’s insane to say the least. Steve Aoki will no doubt tear the house down, and Bart B More always delivers. Tickets are priced at $58.50, which is a little steep, so I would recommend buying your tickets in advance at the Palladium to avoid the $15 service fee.
Sunday, April 3rd:
Dim Mak’s weekly Sunday night is always a good place to be on a Sunday. The event takes place at Drais which is on the roof of the W Hotel in Hollywood. In addition to kick-ass residence, this party constantly has special guests dropping by (Steve Aoki, Felix Da House Cat, Z-Trip, Etienne De Crecy) plus $5 beers and $7 cocktails all night long.
