Monday February 7th
The perfect show to catch for you folkie type. The Hotel Café always offers a wide variety of music and intimate setting. Chrystal (YTC Nashville) caught Jenny Owen Youngs a few years back, and the reviews from the show were all very positive - so, I am sure this show will be a good one.
Tuesday February 8th
Well, Dim Mak Tuesdays at Cinespace is finished, but the good folks at Dim Mak are bringing us a new Tuesday night party at their new space - the Dim Mak Studios. I am sure these parties will be epic and will not disappoint. Dim Mak Studios is located a meer block from the Cinespace location and this week the party will celebrate the release of Cut Copy’s new album ” ZonoScope.”
Fort King has played several of our YTC events and always delivers. This is his first show at the Hotel Café, and he is sure to impress all in attendance.
I always thought the Plain White T’s were a megga D-Bag band, but I got the chance to see them at a private showcase and they blew me away. The lead singer has a great voice and the entire band carries themselves very well.
Wednesday February 9th
These guys have a ton of buzz surrounding them right now, and I have heard they are fantastic live. The show is sold-out, but still worth trying to get a ticket to if you are a fan and down to rock.
I am not a Sarah McLachlan fan, but I’m sure she will pack the house and the attendees will enjoy the show.
Thursday February 10th
I have seen several of the Marleys perform before and they always blow the crowd out of the water. If your down to get down, you should def check this show out.
Friday February 11th
What a bill! Big Boi of Outkast and Cee Lo Green! Hip-hop fans rejoice! I can’t see this show not being killer, plus it’s your chance to see Cee Lo Green before his performance at this year’s Coachella. #happycoachella.
I have heard good things about The Pretty Reckless, but have yet to see them live. The band is fronted by Taylor Momsen of Gossip Girl fame. So mothers grab your daughters and rock out like your 13 again.
Saturday February 12th
SHOW OF THE WEEK
This is a show not to miss! Last year’s Zombie Prom is probably one of the most fun concerts I have ever attended. Plus, Saint Motel is amazing live. Make sure to buy your ticket for this one in advance, as this show will sell-out and the ticket price goes up to $15 dollars the day of the show. Oh, and don’t forget to dress up like a zombie!
I saw B.o.B over the summer and was less then impressed. The Far East Movement, on the other hand, is on fire and def worth checking out.
I love seeing The Decemberists live, but this def isn’t the show you want to go to if you are looking to party. This show is how ever the perfect show to take a date to and have a delightful evening.
This show is a little to far out for us to catch, but if you are in the Pomona area you should try and drop by the Fox and see the Dogg Father himself.
Sunday February 13th
Dim Mak’s weekly Sunday night is all ways a good place to be on a Sunday. The event takes place at Drais which is on the roof of the W Hotel in Hollywood. In addition to kick-ass residence, this party constantly has special guests dropping by (Steve Aoki, Felix Da House Cat, Z-Trip, Etienne De Crecy) plus $5 beers and $7 cocktails all night long.
