Here is a list of shows that caught our attention for one reason or another.

Tuesday February 22nd

Dim Mak Studios Loft Series @ Dim Mak Studios – Hollywood,CA

Well, Dim Mak Tuesdays at Cinespace is finished, but the good folks at Dim Mak are bringing us a new Tuesday night party at their new space - the Dim Mak Studios.  I am sure these parties will not disappoint.  Dim Mak Studios is located a mere block from the Cinespace location.

Death Angel @ Key Club – West Hollywood,CA – $23-$69 – 7:00pm

I have never listened to Death Angel before but the name really caught my attention, so I figured I should add it to this weeks concert list.  Def the show to check out if you are into 80s metal and rocking.

Vivian Girls @ The Smell – Los Angeles,CA – $8 – 9m

I have never seen The Vivian Girls and they always get a lot of buzz when they hit town, so I am sure for $8 you cant go wrong.

Wednesday February 23rd

Linkin Park @ Staples Center – Los Angeles,CA – $42.50-$72.50 – 8pm

In the past I had had my doubts about Linkin Park, but after seeing them over 9 times I have to say these guys always kill it.  This show was sold out, but as of this weekend more tickets were released.  I def recommend checking these guys out especially if you are down to rock.

God Speed You! Black Emperor @ The Music Box – Hollywood,CA – $32.65 ( Sold Out)- 8pm

Yet another band on this weeks concert list that I have yet to see but def have heard a lot about.  The show is sold out, but if you are a fan I say give it a shot and see if you can track down a tix.

Yo Le Tengo @ El Rey – Los Angeles,CA – $25 – 8pm

Band # 4 on this weeks list that I have yet to see but have heard a lot about.  I have listened to a few of Yo Le Tengo’s songs and def dig the vibe. Plus this is a Golden Voice show and they have an incredible ear for music and rarely disappoint.

Gram Rabbit @ Bordello – Los Angeles,CA – $10 – 9pm – 21+

I have had the pleasure of seeing Gram Rabbit a few times and they always delver. This show is a must see if you are in the mood for some psychedelic awesomeness.

Thursday February 24th

Best Coast @ The Music Box – Los Angeles,CA – $29.65 (SOLD OUT) – 8pm

They sold out a few shows at the Troubadour last year, now a show at the Music Box. Whats next Coachella? Catch this show if you can.
Friday February 25th

Control Ft: Designer Drugs,Mustard Pimp and Lucky Date @ Avalon – Hollywood,CA – $28 – 9pm-5am -19+

A lot of hype around this show which means Avalon will be more bonkers then usual. I suggest buying ticket in advance and arriving before 11 if you actually intend to hit this show. On a side note when did Avalon become 19+? I guess the 18 year old’s just weren’t mature enough.

The Chain Gang of 1974 w/ Pepper Rabit @ The Bootleg Theater – Echo Park,CA – $10 -21+

Pepper Rabbit is actually headlineing this show but The Chain Gang of 1974 is the artist that caught my attention.  They have a good funky beat and seem like they would get people dancing around and such.

Saturday February 26th

The Monsters of Bass Ft: Marty Party and Freq Nasty @ El Rey – Los Angeles, CA – $20 – 9pm-2pm

Def a killer line up and worth checking out if you are looking to get down to some fat beats this Sat night.

Young The Giant @ The Roxy – West Hollywood,CA – $15 – 8pm

I have seen these guys a few time and they always bring their A game.  They also have a big fan following which makes their shows extra fun.

Sunday February 27th

Dim Mak Presents Cannonball Sundays w/ Thee Mike B, Fashen and Dj Metric, @ Drais – Hollywood,CA Free with RSVP 21+

Dim Mak’s weekly Sunday night is always a good place to be on a Sunday. The event takes place at Drais which is on the roof of the W Hotel in Hollywood. In addition to kick-ass residence, this party constantly has special guests dropping by (Steve Aoki, Felix Da House Cat, Z-Trip, Etienne De Crecy) plus $5 beers and $7 cocktails all night long.
